Type is what links together a reader and a writer. With each character you're able to form a word in order to create a message that reflects and expresses an emotion through the personality of the typeface. We see type everywhere from our phones to street signs, each having a designated functional use. Tompkins is the beginning of a display typeface, a set of type that is intended for headings rather than large bodies of text. Within the interior space I was presenting a subway sized poster of one of my initial sketches, followed by two letter composition posters and my type printed in vinyl.
